Who we are

Natural digestive health: our specialty, our passion!

Created by two pharmacists specializing in food supplements and galenic technologies, Eupeptis designs and develops innovative, natural food supplements to relieve Functional Intestinal Disorders (FID).

Functional bowel disorders

IBD is a group of common disorders in which symptoms, without any organic explanation, significantly impair the patient’s quality of life. These disorders affect more than one in two French people and are often chronic in nature, linked to diet, so that treatment with medication alone, which is often symptomatic, proves insufficient. The following symptoms can be found:
Bloating& flatulence
Functional diarrhea
Functional constipation

Pain and spasms

Our mission

Improving digestive function for the health and well-being of all!

The name given to our laboratory EUPEPTIS comes from the Greek “Eupeptique” meaning “Improves digestive function”.

Our mission is to combine naturalness, science and technology with a single aim: to improve digestive function for the health and well-being of all!

Food, digestion and health

“Let your diet be your first medicine!” This expression, attributed to Hippocrates, the father of Western medicine, illustrates that the link between diet and health was already being established in ancient Greece.

Nearly 25 centuries later, the essential role of the microbiota in digestive function and in the relationship between diet and health has been discovered. In 1999, Professor Michael Gershon, neuro-gastroenterologist at Columbia University, described the intestine for the first time as a “second brain”. For the scientific community, diet, microbiota and digestive function now appear to be closely involved in maintaining health, notably via the regulation of our nervous, immune and hormonal systems.

Our ORO-EASE® technology

Eupeptis has developed a unique technology of ORO-EASE® Active Microgranules which combine two advantages:

Convenient, comfortable grip for patient well-being

  • The size and shape of Active Microgranules enable effortless swallowing* by the patient, even for high dosages of active ingredients. This is a significant advantage over conventional forms (tablets, capsules), which pose major swallowing problems for dysphagic patients, especially for high-dose products requiring repeated administration.
  • What’s more, the density of the microgranules in our Carbidose product means it comes in compact single-dose sticks, so you can take it quickly without needing a glass of water. This practical presentation is particularly useful for active people.

* Dysphagia (swallowing disorders) affects over 30% of the population, with a particularly high incidence in children and people over 50.

Targeted delivery for enhanced effectiveness

ORO-EASE Active Microgranules in our Carbidose product contain inulin, a biopolymer extracted from chicory root, which is slowly broken down by the intestinal microbiota, gradually releasing activated charcoal into the intestine. The metabolism of this biopolymer by the intestinal microbiota is accompanied by two effects:

  • Pre-biotic effect: inulin nourishes and promotes the selective growth of beneficial bacteria and the development of a balanced microbiota, necessary for good digestion.
  • Post-biotic effect: the microbiota’s metabolism of inulin generates Short Chain Fatty Acids, which have a favorable effect on intestinal cells and help regulate transit.
